UPDATE (Feb 9): Everything on this page has been updated.
Map: high-res map of The Market (registration/awards), parking, and race course.
Race in the afternoon too! If one race isn't enough, drive into Portland (30 minutes) and race the Pat Cushman Memorial Sprints. UPDATE: The Pat Cushman sprints are canceled.
Course Information. Update (Feb 9). Two laps of the Oak Hill loop (not including Gloucester Hill). Each lap is about 5.3K. 90% of the course is in beautiful condition. There are a half-dozen sections that are skied off to the base ice. Four of these are short (3-5m) and easily skied over. 2-3 are longer (50-100m) and will be challenging. The longest is on a fairly flat (slightly downhill) and straight section at the begining of the loop. The other is on fairly flat (slightly uphill) and straight section at the end of the loop. At this point, PIneland is not expected to get snow from the current storm. The course is 99% clean of debris and dirt and we'll work hard to get this to 100%. Update Feb 12. Word on the trail is that Pineland's Outdoor Recreation staff has done a tremendous job grooming the challenging sections and the course is skiing beautifully.
Start. 10AM. Interval start, men and women mixed.
Parking. The race course is on the opposite side of the Pineland Farms campus from the registration/awards area. Given the snow conditions, you will need to drive from registration to parking. See course map for location. There are no bathrooms by the Race Loop so get it done at registration!
Prizes for age-groups and couples. Be sure to stay for the raffle following the awards.Awards will be in a room off the back of The Market following the race.
